This is my front cover for my prelim task, as you see it isnt really that good. I did make effects to it as you can see he does have a bit of a tan on the picture because of the effects I made. You can also see that their is no eye cathcing images or Headlines in the front cover that makes you want to read on. The colours of the writing on the page is also wrong, they don't really suit each other well so makes the page look untidy without even looking at the contents page. Their was not really much imagination used to make the prelim good either.
This is my contents page for my prelim task, as you can see the page is quite plain with minimal writing on the page. This again has not had much imagination brought into it as it only has a few things on the page, this is bad because magazines normally want to fill the pages up as much as they can with as much content as they can. With this contents page it has a lot of spare space where writing or more pictures could have been placed etc.
This is my music magazine as you can see the colours go well together because they contrast with the photo better than the prelim task writing. On this front cover also their is eye catching slogans and headlines to try and get you to read further on into the magazine. Also on this picture you can see the effects of lighting that has been used, as you can see that the model on the left of thew photo is considerably brighter than the one on the right, I was able to do this with lights equipment and also with lighting effects on photoshop, I made his face to bright at one point so had to make the outline of his face a little more darker so you were able to see his facial features. On this magazine front cover it also has a few big headlines while on my prelim task i had only one main headline which didn't give the prelim task a good effect seen as their was only one headline. I stuck to three different colours which magazines normally do stick too because if you have to many colours it makes the page look untidy, you also have to have the right three colours going together because if you dont it will again make the page not that tidy or nice for a reader to look at.
This is my contents page for the music magazine again you can see it is a dramtic improvement from the prelim task, The page is much more fulled up with information about what is in the magazines. This magazine contents page may have the same amount of photos like the other prelim task but their is information about each picture underneath while on the prelim task there is no information at all just random pictures, as you can see a lot more thought and imagination has been brought into this contents page as it talks about different area subjects for the readers. It also has much more information unlike the other one and it also has a editorial as normally magazines would. the three same colours are used on this page e.g. red, white, black so it gets the same effect through the whole magazine.
That is my old magazine pages without the corrections done to them, this is what the new improved magazine pages look like.
This is my new front cover and below is my new contents page, as you can see their is a difference in both the pages compared to before.
